Day1: Arrive Kigali
Today at 19:35PM arrival at Kigali International Airport, meet with our safari guide and transfer to the Kigali Serena Hotel – Kigali for an overnight stay. Meal plan: B/B
Day2: Kigali – Nyungwe Forest National Park
Have breakfast and after embark the safari vehicle and visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and experience the historical massacre that took place in Rwanda by then and transfer to Nyungwe forest through scenic terraced hills to Nyungwe Forest National Park, home to the endangered chimpanzees and other primates like red tailed monkey, white and black Colobus, vervet monkeys in Africa. Dinner and overnight stay at One & Only Nyungwe House. Meal plan: F/B
Note: Inside the Kigali genocide museum, they offer the talking machine to explain all the museum and cost $25 per person extra and if you don’t want it, you can walk while reading the information.
Day3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk
After breakfast, and then go for the chimpanzee trekking into the rain tropical forest and then back to the lodge for lunch, relax and then spend the evening taking the canopy walk viewing more primates, birds, insects and canopies at the closer view in the jungle. Dinner and overnight stay at One & Only Nyungwe House. Meal plan: F/B
Day4: Rwanda Agro – Tourism Experience
Have breakfast, take morning tea plantation walk with a local guide and you will be exposed deeply to this local activity and as you do this relaxing experience viewing to your other sides you will enjoy the undulating landscapes. Thereafter in the evening visit the tea factory and you will experience the process of manufacturing and packaging of the tea and then at the end you will have interesting experience of tea from garden until to the cup read to drink. Return to the One & Only Nyungwe House for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: F/B
Day5: Nyungwe – Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you embark the safari vehicle and drive to Lake Kivu and relax at the shores of the Lake. Take boat cruise along the Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel. Meal plan: F/B
Day6: Lake Kivu – Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast, transfer to Volcanoes National Park and upon arrival at Wilderness Sabyinyo Lodge have your lunch and relax. Evening visit to the Dian Fossey Museum and Camp. Dinner and overnight stay at Wilderness Sabyinyo Lodge. Meal plan: F/B

Day7: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking – IbyI’wacu Cultural Village
After early breakfast, we shall head for a briefing about gorilla trekking in Rwanda at the Kinigi station, then head straight to the slopes of the Forest. Gorilla trekking is no-longer quite strenuous, we send an advance team so you can move direct to the spot where the advance team has located the gorillas. Maximum permitted time with the gorillas is 01 hour, return to the lodge for lunch. Evening visit to the IbyI’wacu cultural village experiencing the Rwanda culture from once the gorilla hunters and now Eco – warriors. Return to Wilderness Sabyinyo Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: F/B
Day8: Golden Monkey Tracking – Kigali
Have breakfast, after drive again back to the park headquarters for briefing about the golden monkey and thereafter enter into the tropical rain forest and take the amazing golden monkey tracking experience. After transfer back to Kigali for your hot lunch and after visit the local Kimironko market and at 18:15PM transfer to Kigali International Airport for your return flight back home!

What to wear/bring
Dress codes are informal. Daytime temperatures are generally warm, so bring lots of light clothing, supplemented by light sweaters for the cool evenings and heavier clothing for the higher altitudes especially volcanoes. When tracking gorillas layering your clothing is the best idea and we suggest: long sleeved shirts, cotton or gore tex trousers, strong walking shoes with ankle support, socks that you can tuck your trousers into, light gloves to protect your hands from thorns and nettles, a hat and sunglasses to provide protection against the sun and a waterproof jacket in neutral colors may come in handy in the moist mountains. Travel light and remember that soft-sided luggage is required. One medium sized duffel bag and one small day pack (carry-on) per person should be adequate. Laundry services are available at most accommodations. You should also pack some zip lock bags for spare clothing, cameras, binoculars and film. Please note that you are not allowed to use a flash when photographing gorillas. It is a good idea to take along several different speeds of film (64 to 1000) as gorillas can be found in open sun or in the dark underbrush of the forest.
